One of the country's leading flexographic printers wanted, like many printers, to increase the speed of their existing line.
The hot air drying was just too slow to cope with the shorter lead times being demanded and unable even to cope with width and coat weight variations.
A.I.S. developed a system which more than tripled the line speed, was able to be zoned so as to save energy and was only 410mm long by 210mm deep - small enough to fit onto the existing system. Thyristor power control coupled with shortwave length lamps allows for precise power output regulation and no warm-up period.
